PUPPY VACCINATION SCHEDULE

Puppy Vaccinations and Veterinary Care

The following are general guidelines only. Individual pets' needs will be discussed with the veterinarian.

Age:

8 weeks: DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) and Deworm

10 weeks: Lyme 1 of 2, Bordetella 1 of 2

12 weeks: DHPP with Lepto (DHLPP), Deworm

14 weeks: Lyme 2 of 2, Bordetella 2 of 2

16 weeks: DHLPP, Fecal Analysis, Rabies

18-20 weeks: For Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans and Labradors,an additional Parvovirus vaccine is recommended.

We STRONGLY recommend monthly flea and tick products prescribed by your veterinarian year-round.

Annually, we recommend a Wellness exam, DHLPP vaccine, Lyme vaccine, a heartworm test and a fecal. The Bordetella vaccine is an optional vaccine for those dogs who go to the groomer, play with other dogs or are kenneled.

The second and all subsequent Rabies vaccinations are valid for 3 years. After the first annual DHLPP vaccine, the DHPP portion of the vaccine will be extended for 3 years, while the Lepto portion will remain yearly.
